AN ABSTRACT:
Every human being is determined by
family-constitutions, by a programming which was put into a child’s soul and
brain. Sometimes only by one sentence. But these mostly very inner family conventions
already have their origin already in former generations. They come from policies,
religious customs, even commercials and many other life conditions of the
respective parent generation. Sometimes these
conventions are like a secret hidden system because their implementation has
been painful, embarrassing or just ridiculous for the young generation. Many of
them base on stories of in – or exclusion and work with fear. This leads to partially neurotic behaviour.
Ant it is exactly this sort of fear that makes it so difficult to take a step
aside and have a neutral look at oneself and own programmings.
A multicultural group like T.act whose backgrounds are
from very different countries, climates, religions, political concepts, histories
etc. had got accordingly very different programmings in their childhoods. So
getting closer with, find a base to work with and trust each other, it necessary
to talk and to know about our various psychic conditions.
The little boxes with miniature installations in them are
covered with articles, pictures and commercials which I took out of old German 1949
– 1954 KOSMOS magazines. My parents were in their thirties in these years and
had just lived through WW II. Reading those magazines, made me think of how my
parents’ generation had been influenced by these texts and intellectual, social
and spiritual climates around them. Also again of how much my parents’ generation
has influenced my and the life of my generation - and,
at the end – of how much I have already passed on to our children’s generation in
an unaware way.
The cover of the boxes are meant to be the surrounding
in which a human being lives. The miniature installations inside are – hidden
and in the box – the more personal incidents and comments which might have
happened to someone at some times in life and which have suddenly changed
dramatically and longlasting something in the way one feels and sees the world.
Though I can’t be there personally, I wish that I can
give some inputs to you – the audience of Supermarket Art Fair Stockholm 2012 – for talks and laughter, an for the
wish to investigate a little on yourselves about your own programmings,
patterns………at the T.act Stand at Supermarket Art Fair 2012. I wish you easiness and openness amongst each other. Release not pain is my focus.
I am convinced that world only can be changed by the
collective openness concerning personal conditions. If we face these –
sometimes fear based – patterns in each of us and work on them I see the seek
to accumulate power for something that will be easily overcome. Because seek of
accumulation of power is neurotic and bases on these sorts of personal
programs. Facing this is a chance that conflicts, wars, depressing political
systems, exploitation etc. etc. can disappear step by step. Cause the real uncool thing is, not to
take the chance to improve oneself,
isn’t it
